Today is the second to last day of 2021 and I’m sitting in my hotel room in St. Petersburg, Florida overlooking a beautiful pool within a garden of palm trees (my favorite), and in the distance, I can see Tampa Bay. After pivoting to building an online business in 2020 and now becoming a full-time…

Cherry Blossoms in DC
For years I’ve wanted to make it to Washington DC in time to catch the Cherry Blossoms and this year I finally got there. It’s been on my bucket list for years, but I just hadn’t made the time to travel there until this year.
Epic East Coast Solo Road Trip
As I drove through states I’d never visited like Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Maine, I dove into podcasts, music, and at times, just silence while watching the mountains disappear behind me. I’d been looking forward to a road trip like this for a long time.
Epic West Coast Road Trip, Part 5
“The mountains are calling and I must go.”- John Muir Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park We entered Sequoia National Forest early mid-afternoon after departing Joshua Tree NP and making a quick stop at Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Desert. My boyfriend and I had discussed the best way to enter the park and I…

As the Colorado River rushes through the park, a six million year evolution eroding the canyon to…

Truths & Travel: Part 4
My brain stopped working I guess, and I felt stuck like I didn’t know how to explain to her. I started to “mime” what I thought made sense, the word “flow” by sweeping my arms from my head to my feet and saying the word “flow” like she understood any of it, it was the most obscure thing I’ve ever done. Just after that, I noticed that the tampons were behind her, and started to point to them, and finally, she understood me, pulled them off the shelf, and rung me up for them. I felt like an idiot. I mean, I “mimed” the word “flow” and I still can’t get over it. Every time I tell the story to people I’m laughing at myself. So the lesson here kids, learn some words in the language of the country you are visiting, and at least use the phone, that has a translator!
Truths & Travel: Mexico, Part 3
Standing on a rock that is 65 Million years old, and at an elevation of 8,235 feet above sea level, I felt that I had defied not only gravity, but all the limiting believes I’ve ever had about myself. It was real. I was here, with people who inspired me to be a better person, and challenged my limiting beliefs.

Austin Adventures, Part 4: Finding a tribe for support, bliss and earning my happy, a never-ending journey
On my last full day in Austin, I wanted to get out and experience some hiking and since I’d already planned to write a feature story for Travel Pulse about “10 Outdoor-Inspired Austin Activities” it was necessary, even if it was only 30 degrees. As I walked along the pathway at Zilker Park, I started to…
Denver Experience, Part 1
“Dare to live the life you’ve always wanted.” As I walked on the gravel trail through City Park in Denver, I thought about how I got here, to this amazing and vibrant city. The air was different in Denver, and I was different, I was so excited on the plane because I knew I’d meet…
Learning to trust at Swatara State Park
“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s…
Travels to New York City
I ventured to the Big Apple with some friends on April 22. The bus trip, to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central PA, was my first venture to New York in over a decade. This year I wanted to travel to the city to capture the amazing and historic architecture, gritty streets, and big buildings.
After arriving, my sister, her husband, and my friend and I all venturing to Midtown Manhatten. Starting at Bryant Park, where the bus left us, as we went from street to street, we weaved around the busy city.
