Information + Implementation = Transformation

Some three months into 2020, I worked to create a community to share resources and tools to find calm in the chaos of daily life. Over the past few months and weeks, I thought that no place would be better to seek out calm than the platform and community I’ve built. And so I invited some people in and have been working on engagement ever since.

It was this past few days that I realized I’m not taking full advangtage of the tools I’m providing to others. So if I’m not even using my OWN resources, how will other people understand how to use them. Since then, I’ve started to work on myself, to clean up my diet and reduce stress that I’ve felt.

New Online Community helps you Find Calm

If you could have the perfect day, what would you do? How do you feel? Who’s looking back at you in the mirror? Where are you? What are you doing? How do you earn a living? Who’s with you today? How’s your quality of life? Are you enjoying life? If all of this could be…

Gratitude for the Journey

Today is my 40th Birthday. I had plans of going on a hike with friends, celebrating at a The Millworks (my favorite local restaurant/gallery/brewery) and then checking out some improv at my favorite spot for comedy, the Harrisburg Improv Theatre.  But finding myself indoors these days due to the COVID-19 Pandemic means I need to…

Albuquerque adventures offer awareness

“Don’t ‘I wonder’ through life. Just make it happen.” ― Alex Banayan, The Third Door Finding myself in New Mexico for two days, I was excited to explore the area and discover some of the unique cultures, see vast landscapes, and discover new places. This year I’ve taken a lot of action in my life. I’ve made…

Being Present on a Peaceful Trail Ride

At the beginning of this year, on January 1st, I went on a trail hike with my friend Adrienne. We talked about the goals we had for the year and what things we wanted to try. Among the many activities I had hoped to do, horseback riding was one. I’ve never been horseback riding and…

Climbing Mount Sniktau

“He who climbs upon the highest mountains laughs at all tragedies, real or imaginary.” ― Friedrich Neitszche There’s a moment when I was climbing Mt. Sniktau while visiting Colorado in July, that I realized that I’m capable of more than I think. As my best friend and I hiked up, there were so many times we…

Colorado Travels: Standing off with bison

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve returned from my trip to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains but I’m just getting around to writing about the experiences and wanted to share the story of the time I fearlessly approached a bison and survived. My best friend Christina arrived later than expected in Colorado on Sunday, July…

Whitewater Kayaking Adventures

“If not now, when? If not you, who?” ― Hillel the Elder I’ve always loved being near water. I can remember long summer days by the creek. My sister and I would see how far we could go and where we would end up just by following the Quitty. I never had thought about actually swimming…

Truths & Travel: The Butterfly Effect in Mexico

“Change one thing, Change everything.” – The Butterfly Effect  Rising early Thursday morning in my flat in Mexico, I was excited about the day ahead. One of my fellow travelers in our mastermind group titled “Lionesses” (A group founded following the DenEx trip with Location Indie) booked a handful of us a driver to transport…

Why I’m excited to turn 40

To be honest, I had these thoughts and strived for most of these things in the past. I pursued relationships that were unhealthy just to see if I could get the right “box” checked, I tried to be someone who wanted kids or someone who should be running marathons. But that’s tiring, trying to be someone else when I’m just me. It’s better to just be me.

Spring brings Calming Clarity and Energetic Inspiration

“Spring work is going on with joyful enthusiasm.” — John Muir The beating of the drums began and the sun shined bright. Even though it was only 50 degrees, it was feeling like spring. The aroma of blossoming plants, the crisp air, and the need for sunscreen all means that it’s finally a new season. I…

Truths & Travel: Mexico, Part 2

“You are just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating and sustaining extraordinary health, wealth, happiness, love, and success in your life, as any other person on earth. It is absolutely crucial … that you start living in alignment with that truth.” – Hal Elrod, The Miracle Morning My first Mexico Motivational Morning I first…
