New partners and projects: Learning to grow a photo business for success in 2020

By offering a portfolio not just on my website, but also on Adobe Stock, and Shutterstock, I hope to grow my visibility as a stock photographer. I’m also working to align with Creative Market soon to allow stock photography on their platform. So I am making a decision to try to grow a stock portfolio and see what happens over the next year with revenue. Now that I have some more clarity with the direction, and I’ve done some extensive traveling, I have a new body of work to share with the world and that’s exciting!

This past year has been especially challenging for everyone. It seems almost everyone I talk to says that they are happy to see 2016 end. If for political reasons, or for personal reasons, or whatever your reason for feeling like that was just not your year, no fear, because we are right in the beginning of 2017.

Eastern State Penitentiary is a “gold mine” for any photographer. I had been wanting to get there for a while and finally decided to travel to Philly to create images of this cold, dark place. Brilliant light streams through the small cell windows, illuminating the chipped paint and debris left from a time long ago….

Peace Day Philly 2013, Part 1

Peace Day Philly started two years ago. It was a small, local idea, spurred by a global initiative to celebrate and embrace peace in the world.
