Fall Foliage, Camping, and Hiking at Raymond B Winter State Park

A crisp, fall afternoon of hiking followed by roasted marshmallows over a campfire is my ideal fall weekend, which I was lucky to enjoy recently at Raymond B Winter State Park. I drove up late on Friday evening (November 5th) and set up my tent to a walk-in site. Surrounded by the forest and a few other campers, I had an enjoyable time listening to podcasts and audiobooks while stargazing.

Over the weekend I managed to travel to 4 state parks that are nearby and am excited to announce my new tally of 31 as of November 7th. In addition to Raymond B Winter State Park, I visited the park right next to it, McCalls Dam State Park, Sand Bridge State Park, and Ravensburg State Park.

Stay tuned to the Facebook Page for more hikes and updates on the 2022 Photo Calendar, which will feature 12 images from this year’s hikes at state parks. My next post will be of the camping trip this past weekend (Nov. 13 +14) in which I visited 4 more state parks! 🙂
