Arriving in California with the smell of seasalt in the air and sand that I imagined about for the past few months finally became a reality for me recently during my epic road trip. After the past few months of working from home, it felt so great to travel again. Up until the shutdown, I’d been traveling every three-to-four months. I had cancelled my trip to the west coast in March, but was determined to return to the west coast before year’s end. Yes. I wore a mask on the plane and in public spaces. It wasn’t horrible, but very uncomfortable. (Just want to answer that question upfront and now will talk about the actual trip!)
Flying into San Diego, and staying in the “resort” town of La Jolla Cove was a perfect first day escape from the East Coast. Gazing at sea lions who came up-close to say hello, I was able to capture some images of them enjoying them bask in sun as well as enjoy wave splashes. The first night I stayed in this amazing town I was delighted to discover this beach and cove. Check out all the awesome photos from La Jolla Cove here!
